Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I'm looking for my Grandfather Charles Edward Schubert's ancestors and
syblings. Also, the family of his wife Mattie Ruth Lewis Schubert. I have
their marriage license from Cherokee County in 1892, and not much else.
Charles arrived in the US at the age of 2, but I have no idea where he grew
up - perhaps in Ohio where he met Mattie Lewis. Can anyone tell me how to
find birth records, marriage & death records, church & land records in

Grandfather Charles Edward SCHUBERT, born 17 May 1864 in Saxony, perhaps
Schlosschen (50.45 13.02), or Schlossvippach in Thuringen. In 1866 he
emigrated with his father, Unknown SCHUBERT, his stepmother UNKNOWN,
brothers Bernard, Frederich, 3 daughters, 1 step-daughter. 1 daughter
Karoline returned to Germany in 1875.
20 Nov 1892 Charles SCHUBERT married Mattie Ruth LEWIS, born 8 Jan 1866 in
Tiffin, Seneca Cnty, OH. They were married in Cherokee, Cherokee Cnty, IA.

OH; J.W. & Harriet F.(P?) Foster
Charles E. & Mattie Ruth had two sons born in Cherokee, IA: Ben William

Mattie Ruth SCHUBERT died in Cherokee, IA 23 Jan 1908.
Charles 2nd marriage to Anna UNKNOWN. Anna died in Silverton, Marion Cnty,
Charles Edward died in Silverton, Marion Cnty, OR 5 May 1951
I am looking for information on the David STONER family of Larrabee, IA. David and his wife, Magdalena Beaman, were my ggrandparents. My Grandfather was Guy STONER and he went to school there in Larrabee and then moved to Parker, South Dakota where he met my Grandmother, Sylvia PARKHURST. I would like any information anyone may have about their life there in Larrabee.
