"...After a parley with the clerk of the court of Mason City for nearly an hour for a
marriage license that he might wed Miss Myrtle Loungden of Plymouth, James Pace of Austin,
Minn., took his bride and drove home disgusted with Iowa laws. It was learned that Pace
had been divorced from a former wife only three months and though he was more than willing
to reenter the martial relations again, it was pointed out to him that it was illegal. He
had engaged a minister who stood waiting in an outer room to perform the ceremony.."

I am not related to this James Pace (although I do have a few other James Paces' in my
line). However, I found this article, thought it interesting so I am posting it here
hoping it will be helpful to anther researcher.
