Does anyone have any information about the Peter Schmitz family that lived in
Storm Lake from 1880 to 1920. Peter married Barbara Geimer, probably in IA.
They had children John Amil b 1878, Edmont b 1879, Henry b 1883, Leopold
(Linn) b 1884. There may be others. According to census records Peter and
Barbara were from Luxembourg. He came to the US in 1865.
Thanks for any help.
I am doing a one name study on the name COVEY. If anyone has run
across any of these folks I would certainly appreciate hearing from
My direct line goes back to 1639 in Braintree, Massachuttes. I'm now
trying to fatten the tree and perhaps add a little color.
Thanks in advance for your efforts.
