Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I've "rescued" an old photograph identified by his signature as D. W.
BRUCKART which was taken at the Ensminger Brothers Studio in Independence,
IA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1870's with the man in
the photograph appearing to be in his 20's or 30's at the time it was taken.
Thanks to area researchers I now have the following information regarding
this man and his family:
Daniel "Dan" Webster or Webb BRUCKART was b. 23 Aug 1851 in Silver Springs,
PA to Samuel BRUCKART and the daughter of Col. J. HABECKER. Daniel died 23
Aug 1901 in Seattle, WA and is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in
Seattle, WA. Daniel attended college in Easton, PA and went onto study law
in Iowa being admitted to the bar in 1873. Daniel married Sara W. WILLIAMS
on 18 May 1875 in Independence, IA and they had two sons including Lee
Dudley BRUCKART and Lloyd Owen BRUCKART. Daniel moved to St. Cloud, MN in
1883. Daniel was Dist. Attorney in Buchanan Co. IA and worked within the
legal dept of the Burlington Northern Railroad for a time as well.
Daniel's occupation was identified as Mining Broker during his time in
I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be
