Sue, neither the Grimm or Leimberer names appear, only the entry for George
I received this book from a great-aunt many years ago. It's an original
and quite worn but complete. I don't know that there is another one in
existence. She dug it out of her basement when I visited her. Check the
Benton Co. Rootsweb site for my transcription of it.

Sally in Albuquerque-
Hi......That book that you have sounds interesting. My grandmother was
born in Iowa and lived in Belle Plaine most of her life. The other names
that I am researching are Grimm, Leimberer and Steinke. The Grimms and
Leimberers have lived and still live in Belle Plaine, Iowa. Does the
book show anything on any of these surnames. The stories are
interesting. I know that a friend bought the book for you as I have been
reading the posts that you have been doing. I wonder if there is a way
of obtaining another one.
We use to visit my grandmother in grandmother Marie A.Grimm (Steinke)
(Leimberer) during the summer months. We would drive from LA, in
California and drive there taking a different route each year. It was
quite interesting. My step-grandfathers name was Charles Leimberer.
Marie was born in 1899 and died last year at the age of 99. Charles died
in the late 70's. Then Marie moved to California to live with her son.
I have talked and exchanged information with the Leimberer relatives in
Iowa and have received a list of names and dates.
Well, just thought that I would let you know this in case anyone comes
across anything pertaining to these surnames. I like to hear stories,
etc. It makes it more interesting than just dates and names.
Talk with you again soon!
