Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I think the Spam Bar sounds heaven sent. Altho I have Hotmail, I also have
others, and desperately was looking for something along these lines.
Thanks, Nancy, for the info.

SPAM BAR will only get you banned from Rootsweb lists since it bars messages
from the lists. I would not recommend this if you want to receive list mail.
Try contacting the Listowner since this really is not on topic for the
IABENTON List. Write to him at: IABENTON-admin(a)rootsweb.com

This courtesy message is being sent my friends and the contacts in my address book.
It is to notify you that I have installed a SPAM BAR Anti Spam filter, on my incoming mail.
As long as you write to me using this particular address, your messages will come straight through to my mail inbox.
If, however, at any time you should write to me using a different email address to this one, the SPAM BAR program will reply to you asking you to confirm you are a real person.
