Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Killed by a Train
C.E. Dillinger, a resident of this city and for some time past employed as a
bridgeman of the Northwestern, was found dead on the Northwestern tracks
near Arlion. Dillinger was paid off Tuesday night and left for Dow City,
where he expected to get work. Yesterday morning his remains were found,
where he had evidently been run over and killed by a train. The body was
brought here last night and the funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon
at 2 o'clcok from the family residence, 1817 Second avenue. The death of
Dillinger leaves a widow and one child bereaved.
