Henry Stocker was born in Ohio, resided in Drakesville, Iowa.
He was 21 when he enlisted on 8/9/1862 as a private. He was in Co. B, Iowa
30th Regiment. He mustered out on 6/5/1865 at Washington D.C. He was not
listed as a musician, which drummerboys were classified as. My database is
Historical Data Systems.

(1857). Henry was a very slight man. I thought that drummer boys were
usually of a larger build because of the strain of carrying the flag.
