Hi Ruth,
I hope I haven't asked you this before but I don't see many Samuel DAVIES on
the list. My grgrandmother's name was Ann DAVIES, born in 1831. I have her
marriage certificate when she married Philip THOMAS, b. 1821. They married
on 8 Feb 1854 in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan. Her father was listed
as Samuel DAVIES, farmer. Also there was a David DAVIES as a witness. I
was wondering if she would fit into your family. I don't know where she was
born. Philip had been married before and had a daughter Sarah, b. 1844. My
grandmother, Margaret Ann, was born in 1855.They left Dowlais in 1857 and
came to America.
