Hello Robert
According to the census info I gave you yesterday, Mary Elizabeth Beer
was born in Fremington, c1857.
GRO records show she was born in the 1st qtr 1857, birth registered in
the Barnstaple district, mother's maiden name Davey.
The 1861 census: Fremington, Barnstaple.
John Beer, head, aged 28 (born c1833), potter, Chittlehampton, Devon.
Mary, wife, aged 26 (born c 1835), Fremington.
Mary Elizabeth, aged 4, born Fremington
Anne, aged 2. born Fremington
John's occupation of potter fits with what I thought I read on the
marriage record but couldn't be sure.
John Beer married Mary Davey, at the parish church in Fremington, 5
April 1856. Both were of full age. John was a bachelor, a potter.
Mary was a spinster, a servant. John's father was William, a
labourer. Mary's father was George, a labourer.
Robert, given the information which I provided yesterday (and which took
me several hours to work out because of the incorrect dates and
details), these were easy to find. Do you not have subscriptions to the
family history websites?

Pardon me from butting in on this thread, but isn’t this the Glamorgan list?
There is a list specifically for Devon
Devon-request(a)rootsweb.com
Unless I’ve missed it, there is no apparent connection between the request and
Glamorgan?
Cheers, Jon
