I can't see if anyone has answered this for you. I have taken a look at the
1851 census and found John Sands a farmer at Corntown Farm in Ewenny parish
with his family and 7 servants. His insertion in the electoral register for
the Druids public house means that he owned it or at least owned the
freehold of it.
