Subject: Horse & Grom!
Hallo !
I've Samuel Lewton Brain and Charles Lewton Brain involved in the Horse and
Groom. Samuel Lewton Brain, 1995-1858, died in Bridgend, married Jane
Hutchinson.
My family people are the Lewtons, Brains, Lewton Brains and Brain Lewtons -
my public tree, which needs some clipping: lewton-brain. They are all from
the Bitton, Hanham, Kingswood, Oldham and Bristol areas. My ggrandfather,
Edwin Lewton-Brain, from Bitton, 1821-1865, moved to Merthyr Tydfill,
married Mary Ready. My ggrandfather James and his sibs were born there.
Edwin's and his sibs parents were Samuel Lewton Brain, cordwainer,
1791-1851, mother Ann Wilkins, 1796-1861.
Samuel Lewton Brain 's and George Brain Lewton's father, , cordwainer and
clockmaker, respectively, was Richard Brain Lewton, clockmaker of Kingswood
Hill or Siston, born 1762.
Regards
