There are quite a few 'cheat sheets' on reading Welsh
headstones around
online. I keep laminated prints of a couple in my bag when visiting any
Welsh graveyards. Quite a limited 'vocabulary' is needed because they all

the same ones.

Subject: [GLA] Translation Dictionary Welsh to English
Hi All
Trust that those members who were in the path of the storm are OK and that
normal operations have resumed.
I am looking for advise on the best online Welsh to English dictionary to
use, I have just received a number of Head Stone photos of my ancestors and
wish to transcribe them, have tried the University of Wales site but what
comes back if any, does not make sense to me.
Any and all advice is appreciated.
Thank you
John
