Hi All,
Firstly,
thanks to all of you who came along yesterday to meet us, this is my first
chance to post as I had to get up at 5 a.m. this morning, drive to
Basingstoke for a meeting, and I've just got home. Why didn't I just stay in
Bracknell last night???
Well Ron, actually , we had two pasties...
A "small" one (Pete's description, not mine..) which seemed big to me.. and
a "dinner" pasty, which was humungous...
I shared them with the others on the GFHS stand, but they ran out of stamina
by mid afternoon, so I had to polish off the big one during the course of
the day...
There were some home made welsh cakes which Eileen made, unfortunately they
were intercepted by her brother in Woking, so we brought in some that we
bought in Carmarthen market on Saturday, along with some honey and
marmalade which we got from a farm shop in the market..
they seemed to go down well with everyone...
We're not doing Crawley, the next GFHS away day is at Bath in February which
the Ponty branch team are doing, but Eileen and I are looking seriously at
the Wolverhampton fair in April.. There was a chippie in Whitmore Reans
which we used to frequent when we lived in Wolves, and I have a hankering
for some of their chips after 19 years away...
Andy

I bet he scoffed the lot himself as well but if he did he's a better man
than me.
Anyway Andy I'm sure Cornish Pasties aren't on the Atkins menu.
