Hello,
Could someone please set me straight on the whereabouts of Llanelly? I have
a Sarah (nee MEAGER) TURPIN of Llanelly, who died in Sep 1851. However, her
death is on FreeBMD as registered in Swansea.
I have been doing a quick google and found that Llanelly is in Breconshire,
then in Carmarthenshire, but Swansea is in Glamorgan - this is all very
frustrating for someone who tries to rely on maps to find their way around
in Wales (as I am an Aussie foreigner!).
If by some chance, Llanelly was part of Glamorgan in 1851, then could I
please ask for a look-up in the census of
Sarah TURPIN (b. abt 1808, Swansea)
John TURPIN (her husband and a mariner and that's all I know so far)
and a daughter,
Georgina Catherine TURPIN who would probably be less than 1 yr old.
If not, could someone please nicely point me in the correct direction for
this place?
Many thanks, and I am sorry if I appear to be waffling on ! :))
Regards,
Suzanne
