Hi all,
As you know I and other have encountered errors in the Ancestry Beta search
(although I love being able to use it, have found loads of info in spite of
its faults) so I reported an error as follows:
"I have been using the Beta version of the England/Wales BMD records, and
while I find it an interesting tool I would hope that some validation of the
records will be done before your decide to charge people for its use. There
are many pages missing: ie I am searching for a BOSTOCK marriage in 1929 &
1930 ..... in the IV Q 1929 there are 68 images; Image 39 = Page 101 of the
records book while Image 40 = Page 103 ....... I happen to need 102.
Similarly in 1930 Marriages I Q , Image 39 = Page 59, Image 40 = Page 61,
Image 41 = Page 63. This same type of omission occurs in the III Q as well.
What are your plans for validation of the Image content?
Helen "

You will notice that he did not answer the question as to their plans for
validation and as I told him in an answer to the above, I have not used the
"Having problems viewing this image?" link because there is NO image to have
a problem viewing ....... I also asked again about their plans for
validation.
