Hello again David!
I checked the Register, and there was only one BASSET birth listed as
follows:
BASSET, Daniel 24 Jan 1839
Father: Thomas a Labourer
Mother: Ann
Address: Old Castle Coyty
This seems to confirm the family history that was passed down. I hope this
helps!

Subject: [GLA] Ruhamah Particular Baptist Church, Brigend, Glamorganshire
Hello List,
I recently met a BASSETT cousin from Cleveland, Ohio
who shared some family records with me. They say that
their BASSETT ancestor was christened in 1829 at the
Ruhamah Particular Baptist Church in Newcastle or
Brigend, Glamorganshire. They obtained this info from
an undocumented source in their family. Does anyone
on the list know where I could find records for this
non-conformist group? Either from the Glamorgan
Family History Society or the LDS?
Thanks,
David Attride
