Hi Linda,
My great uncle was killed at Loos serving with the South Wales
Borderers, so not the unit you are interested in.
I have a book "The Battle of Loos" by Philip Warner ( published by
William Kimber & Co. ISBN 1 84022 229 8). It is not specifically about
the Welsh , but give an overall account of the battle, and includes
eye-witness letters.

Hi Lister's,
My Grandfather served with the 1st Battalion Welsh
Guards during WW1; fighting at The Battle of Loos,
Battle of the Somme and the third Battle of Ypres. I
have his war record and a short history of the !st
Battalion during the Great War. I would be interested
in any books written about the Welsh Guards during the
war or to hear from anyone who had relatives who
served with this unit.
Regards,
Linda
