Hi Rina
I also found Maggie Elliot in the same workhouse. So definitely could be
all the same family

Hi Graham,
Do you have them in earlier censuses? In 1891 there is a 4 year old Annie
Elliott and a 2 year old Charles, both born in Cardiff, enumerated in the
Cardiff Union Workhouse. A Mary A. Elliott, aged 9, born Cardiff is also
enumerated there on a different page, above a 1 year old Mary E. Elliott,
also born Cardiff.
In 1901 a 12 year old Charles Elliot born Cardiff appears to have been
enumerated twice in the St. Joseph's Certified Industrial School for boys
in
Chorlton upon Medlock, South Manchester. Haven't yet found any of the
others.
If Charles Elliot Snr. is the sweep married to Margaret, enumerated at 84
Cowbridge Rd. in 1881, then it looks like he is Her Majesty's Guest in
Cardiff in 1891.
Any good?
Rina
