Hi Wendy,
Sorry for that typo in my last email, as 1901 should read 1911.
I didn't answer your original query though.
It is highly possible that the surrounding Jenkins families are related to
David, as often a farm was surrounded by cottages on its land, often housing
family members. The Howell family are probably related to Sarah too.
My best wishes, Jill

Hi Wendy,
Free BMD shows:
Arthur William Jenkins, Bridgend 11a 854 March Qtr 1900
This is possibly the 1 year old. Have you found them on other census such
as 1901?
I have just done that and here they all are in 1901 at: Llanddy Mynack Farm,
Monknash, Cowbridge or rather Clawdd Y Mynach Farm, Monknash, Cowbridge.
I cannot find it on Google maps, but it is still there as
192.com shows:
Clawdd-y-mynach, Monknash, Nr, Wick, Cowbridge, South Glamorgan, CF71 7QP
David was married to Annie E Jenkins. They had the following children:
Arthur W[illiam]; Edith, Annie M., John D.,
Hope this helps.
My best wishes, Jill

I have been helping a relative whose grandmother was a domestic servant with
a farming family in Broughton 1901. She was Sarah Howard aged 15, born
Cogan, Penarth.
The farmer's name was ?Dil. Jenkins aged 25, born Marcross, his wife ?A. C.
Jenkins, 26, born Swansea, and their son A. W. Jenkins, 1, born Wick.
There were two other Jenkins families on either side of the entry,
haycutters, so I am wondering if they were related and all living on a farm
complex. Does anyone have access to a directory of the time, or knowledge
of the area? It would be nice to know where Sarah worked.
Thanks for any help,
Wendy
