Subject: [GLA] Keturah Roberts
Wonder if anyone can fill a few blanks concerning Keturah Roberts, born Feb 1868 in
Swansea
Parents – John and Jane Roberts (b 1842)
1871 Keturah living with widowed Mother and brother William in Swansea. No further info
re. Jane or William
1881 Keturah living with David and Margaret Lewis in Cilybebyll. I assume that they were
her grandparents but I cannot prove it. Keturah’s birth certificate gives her mother’s
maiden name as Jones – a previous husband, perhaps?
1891 Keturah’s working in a local tin works and lodging with David & Margaret’s
daughter, Margaret & her husband John Cattle.
Trail ends
Philip Lewis, a grandchild of David and Margaret and also from Cilybebyll emigrated to USA
in 1890 s. Perhaps she joined them later?
David
