It may well be worth searching the list archives or Googling your query
rather than simply asking the list
For instance in February 2004 Jeff Coleman wrote this to the list:
"Heitzman & Sons, Jewellers and Silversmiths, established 1847, were at 22,
St Mary Street, Cardiff, according to a stout little box now in my
possession that looks as if it originally held a clock or small item of
silver. From the provenance of this box I suspect it contained a wedding
present in 1904, or some other item of approximately the same date."

Subject: [GLA] Heitzman & Sons, Cardiff
Hello. I hope this makes it to you; I have been fighting with my email/gmail
for an hour now (one of the hazards of letting one's daughters use one's
computer). I have been trying forever to find information on Heitzman &
Sons, Cardiff, and your article was the first I have found with any useful
information. I have a beautiful silver cake stand and Heitzman & Sons,
Cardiff is stamped on the bottom. I have had it for about 40 years.
It was given to me by a lady who collected antique silver. She was dying and
gave it to me in appreciation for my reading a cherished book to her.
Normally, I would never accept a gift from a patient, but she was quite
distraught about it passing into the hands of someone who was already
persuing her husband. It was kind of spooky to read in your article "his
watch that was given away by his widow to the nurse". Your article also
referred to Heitzman & Sons, Cardiff, Jewellers and Silversmiths" and that
is the first time that I found anything referring to them that mentioned
"Silversmiths"; previously, everything I could find referred to clocks. Any
other information you could share with me would be most appreciated. Thank
you so much for your time. Linda Traurig
