Look at the parish map on
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CMN/LlandeiloFawr/ParishMap.html
Just south of the river in the area marked 24 you will see the label
'Tregeyb'. My assumption would be that a hamlet would be a sub-division of
the parish, just as it is in Glamorgan, and that the Tregib hamlet would
include an area south of the river Tywi (Towy) including Ffairfach and that
area. That is the location of Ysgol Tregib
http://www.tregib.amdro.org.uk/English/Pages/default.aspx
That web site is still live, although the school has been merged (nominally
at least) with Pantycelyn in Llandovery as you see on
http://www.brodinefwr.org.uk/english/about.php .
Usually you will see descriptions of each enumeration district at the start
of each section of the census. On Ancestry you can select a particular
census year, select Wales census, then 'Browse this collection' first by
county, then by parish ( sometimes with Ancestry's own unique transcriptions
of parish names so the same parish is listed in several places on the list -
Llandilfawr, Llandillofawr, Llandilo Fawr) then by enumeration district.
The first page in the district normally describes the area covered. If you
have the information from the individual household about which enumeration
district it was in in a particular census, look for the description of that
district.
Llandilofawr was a very large parish subdivided into a number of hamlets.
Looking for the chapels listed on the GENUKI web page as being in Tregib
hamlet (using Coflein web site to give the map references) leads to the
conclusion that the area of Trapp and Carreg Cennen Castle were also in
Tregib.

Subject: [GLA] LANDILO
What would cover Landilo Hamlet of Tregib please. I have traced my
Thomas's here but the 1851 census says Landilo not Llandilo. I am assume
this is Llandeilo fawr (Gen uki) thanks in advance!
