When Welsh 'glas' is used in relation to topographical features and
vegetation it means 'green', so that 'Bryn glas' for example would mean
'green hill'. Beili glas means 'green court' or 'green yard'.

from here back in c1815 a great uncle name his house this and his
grandmother said on one census she came from Ffynnon Wen Which is same
area
