For all that has been, thanks.
For all that will be, yes.

My 2nd Great grandfather John Jenkins was born in Merthyr Tydfil in
1843.
His father´s name was Thomas, I don´t know his mother´s name or her dates.
On 15th May 1865 John married Jemima Morgans (b1844) at the Register Office
in Merthyr. Thomas is shown on the marriage certificate as deceased, but
had been a haulier. John himself was a Puddler at the Iron Works. In 1871
John, Jemima and their first child Edmund (my Great Grandfather b1869)
lived at 10 Shellar´s Houses in Merthyr and by 1881 the family had grown to
three children (John b1875 and Sarah b1877) and they were living at 92
Tramroad Side East, Merthyr.
I cannot trace John anywhere on the 1851,1861 or post-1881 census returns,
and have no information about Thomas other than that which appears on his
son´s marriage cert. I believe Jemima may have died in 1881 (after the
census date) but there is no sign of John Jr or Sarah either after this
time.
Does anyone have links to this family, or can help me fill any of the gaps
in my tree, please?
Gareth
