Ummmm, No! You might be okay with that strategy but for sure they will
have snuck off for a new job or better opportunity, which I think they
do just to tease us.
You very well might be able to find what you need, and it is nearly
impossible to find children unless they have been indexed with both
parents somewhere (like Wiltshire BMD which lists children with
mothers maiden name).

For all that has been, thanks.
For all that will be, yes.

Dear List:
Trying to find people on Freebmd is sometimes a little intimidating; so I need some
general advise. If I start with the census information for a family, I will generally find
birthplaces listed along with ages of children. If I see an unusual gap in the ages and
know (because of the 1911 census) that there were more children in a family than are
listed on the census records from decade to decade, then I am assuming I ought to look in
between the gap years for more children in the birth and death sections of Freebmd. The
family I'm looking for moved two or three times, according to the birth places listed
on the census.
So when I try a search for missing children and many possibilities come up, I'm
assuming that I might be safe eliminating registration districts that do not have any of
the birth places listed on the census if the family seems to have been in mainly two
counties. Is that a safe assumption?
