What are single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)?
*Single nucleotide polymorphisms, frequently called SNPs (pronounced
“snips”), are the most common type of genetic variation among people. Each
SNP represents a difference in a single DNA building block, called a
nucleotide. For example, a SNP may replace the nucleotide cytosine (C) with
the nucleotide thymine (T) in a certain stretch of DNA.*

I wouldn't bother about these terms but if you are interested then go to
Kitty Cooper's Blog at:
https://blog.kittycooper.com/
I would assume that all you are really interested in is your MRCA between
yourself and a person you match DNA with. MRCA is just another one of those
acronym that those who have tested use, it stands for Most Recent Common
Ancestor.
To find out how you relate to another person it is useful if they have a
family tree, with which to compare with.
Don't become overwhelmed with either your matches or all the technical
terms.
You don't mention which company you have tested with.
Regards
Gareth

Please, is there anyone who can explain these terms used in genetics?
IBD, IBS, SNP, phasing and comparison platform.
Assuming this would be possible in a way a non expert could understand?
