What dates are you interested in?
If you have dates after 1 July 1837, the start of Civil registration, then
any birth, marriage or death in the parish of Llandough-juxta-Penarth (the
better-known one) would appear in Cardiff registration district. Events in
the parish of Llandough-juxta-Cowbridge would appear in the Bridgend
registration district. Note that according to
https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/bridgend.html the parish of
Llandough-juxta-Cowbridge was abolished in 1895 and merged with the
adjoining parish of St Mary Church to become the parish of Llanfair.
If you have an event after 1837 associated with St Dochdwy's, look for it in
www.freebmd.org.uk setting the county of search as Glamorgan. FreeBMD has a
rather better search engine for finding BMD registrations than the
commercial sites.

There are two churches/parishes as below These are two parishes of the same
basic name which is why they carry the additional data to distinguish one
from the other They are not near to each other

Hello,
Can someone please help me in figuring out a puzzle from the USA? I am
looking for
St. Dochdwy Church, but seem to be finding 2 possible places, in
the same vicinity? Are there 2 churches with the same name in 2 different
locations? I'm seeing in records Penarth and Cowbridge. Are these one in
the same?
Thank you for your help in clearing up what seems to be rather confusing
information found documents seen online.
Megan
