Yes, I know the tune well. Long ago (50s and 60s) and far away (Isle of
Ely), we sang it sometimes to 'Through the night of doubt and sorrow',
and as a pianist/sometime organist, I'm suddenly playing it again - and
as my original post hinted, the unexpected discovery that TJW is a
neighbour-across-time has prompted further researches. I'm fairly sure
he himself lived much of his life (and was an organist) in Llanelli, and
I think he is buried there.
