Hi Sarah
A little more clarity in the spelling would be helpful - did the article
really spell the place name 'arbargoed'?
As far as I know neither this nor 'Abergoed', as in your subject header, are
place names in Wales.
On the other hand 'Aberbargoed' is just across the Rhymney valley from
Bargoed, and some nine miles north of Caerphilly.
I suspect the reason it comes up as 'Caerphilly' is because it lies within
that (relatively new) county boundary.
Don't forget that Glamorgan, as a single entity, ceased to exist in 1974
Robert

I ave found my William "Willie" Rogers in a news article 1917 where he is
listed as in Active Service in France, as a Corporal. But I can find no
record of him in service. He is listed as a teacher at arbargoed council
schools. When I google arbargoed council school Caerphilly comes up.
Advise is appreciated!
