Many thanks David for your reply to my DOWLING query placed on the Glamorgan
mailing list.
The Rhondda Cynon Taf Library Service web site was certainly of great
value - and what a wonderful collection of photographs they hold! Their
"Heritage Trail" led me to find the location of Bush Houses on the 1900 map
of the area available at
www.old-maps.co.uk
I am surprised however at only getting one reply - I was quite sure that
there would be many Glamorgan listers with a good knowledge of the Colliery
explosions and the floods of that time just prior to the 1911 census.

I am no expert on Cwm Clydach . That place even holds a mystery for me
which one day I hope to solve.
