12 November 1869 KILLED AT HENDREFORGAN COLLIERY, YSTRADGYNLAIS: WM.HOPKINS,
DAVID DAVIES, SAMUEL ARTHUR, DAVID JONES. P5
I don't think this is likely to be your man. It is a long way from
Llangyfelach and was in Neath registration district at the time.
DEATHS, DEATH NOTICES 30 April 1869 ON 28 APRIL, AT 4 GROVE PLACE, SWANSEA,
DAVID, SON OF ISAAC JONES, IRONFOUNDER, AGED 25.
That may well be the death you found in FreeBMD. I rather doubt whether it
was your David JONES. You really need to buy a death certificate if you want
to check that you have the right person.

Subject: [GLA] Birth request please
Hi
I have been researching my great grandfather and thought is father was
John JONES who married Sarah REES well we have since found
out that in fact he was David JONES. It's no wonder I couldn't find
anything. Well I still can't but I'm hoping SKS might help me please.
All I have is David JONES died 1869 Swansea. I have found him on the
free BDM site. Age 25 yrs
So what I am looking for is help with his birth and maybe trying to
locate his mother, father and brothers or sisters if he had any on the
1851
and 1861 census. He was a collier.
He would of been born around 1844. They seem to of stayed in
Llangyfelach district after he married Sarah but not sure if he was
from the same area.
Kind regards
Karen.
