Local papers in Barry would be the Barry Herald and the more dominant Barry
Dock News.
Can you narrow the date down as these are on microfilm and if I have chance
Ishall be looking up three obits for Lorraine in the afternoon.
Will check my emails lunchtime, (UK time) before I go.

Subject: Local Newspaper in Barry around 1908?
Date: Monday, November 30, 1998 9:09
Hi- Trying to find out if there was a local newspaper around Barry in
1908.
Looking for death info or article on John Dwyer, from Barry Wales
murdered
on ship in Australia, possibly the Shenandora, but not sure. There is
a
record of a John Dwyer dying on the Shenandora in 1908 which is the right
time frame, but I'm not sure if it is the right John Dwyer. The
Australian
Archives said they wouldn't have any info. Any suggestions for
where to
go
from here? Would he have a death certificate somewhere? I guess I
really
need help with this one.
Thank you.
