To that "Nice" Gareth,
Some of us use MSN and pay a flat monthly rate and use a local telephone
number for access, which means I usually stay on-line as long as I'm sitting
here, whether composing new messages, reading incoming mail, filing, etc. --
makes it easy to stop composing for a moment, go and search the web or my
"bookmarks" if I want to include a URL in a message, etc. I can stay
on-line for 24 hours a day and it won't cost me a thing (except perhaps my
marriage, so I try not to do that!).

Subject: non-technical stuff
Hi the list
Someone has asked me the best way to send lookup queries to volunteers
whilst
On line..
I had to think about what I would recommend as the " best " way so here is
my
non -tech answer in case there are others of you unsure about it.
In aol, this is what i do=
OFF line , prepare the question in my Word processor
Select and cut it to the clipboard
Go ON line to the lookup item, click on volunteer's name to open the email
box
Fill in the subject line as that nice Gareth asked me to do :-)
Paste in the message and off she goes. Easy !
If you have several questions, prepare them all before hand in your word
processor, then switch between the Lookup page and your WP to
select/cut/paste
each one seperately.
This method saves you having to think up the question whilst On line, with
the " clock ticking", bit like talking to an answering machine that !
Hope that helps someone out there
Hwyl
