Would anyone happen to have a picture of the Llansamlet Chapel in the early
1800s, before it was rebuilt?? I would love to have a picture for my family
history.

Dear Judy,
You'll need to be more specific about which chapel you mean.
I've listed below some of the chapels and churches that are/were located in
Llansamlet parish:
Bethel Independent Chapel, Bank-y-bryn, Bethel Road
Ebenezer Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, Llwynbrwydrau
Einon / Ainon Baptist Chapel, Heol Las
Peniel Green Congregational Chapel, Peniel Green Road
Saron Independent Chapel, Birchgrove Road
Seion Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, Peniel Green Road
Tabor Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, Nantyffin Road
St John's Church (Anglican), Birchgrove Road
St Samlet's Church (Anglican), Church Road
But as you mention the early 1800s, I suspect you are referring to St
Samlet's Church, the parish church, which was rebuilt and reconsecrated in
the late 1870s. There are photos of the present church on my website at:
www.jlb2011.co.uk/walespic/churches/llansamlet1.htm
Unfortunately, I do not recall ever seeing an illustration of the old
church.
Kind regards,
John
