Hello Jill ,
Thanks for the advice , it was much appreciated. My interests in and around
Llantrisant, Church Village and Tonyrefail are extensive and go back to the mid
1600s. I am at present concentrating on my grandmothers familywho lived in the
area between 1866 and about 1920. Need I say it,...... their name was JONES. My
g.grandfatherDavid JONES and his son Taliesin are proving to be something of a
challenge but I suspect that they may be buried in two graves in between two
other family graves in Bryntirion cemetery. The MIs are according to the Glam
FHS micro-fiche, non existent (or worn away) hence my query about reading old
gravestones.
Other names I am researching in that area LEWIS, PARRY, AJAX, CHEDZEY and MOCK
I have been twice to Llantrisant in recent years where the St
Illtyd churchyard proved to be a treasure trove. We will see what the Bryntirion
one in Church Village will provide . As suggested I will bring along my
toothbrush but alas have no room for your cousin. Perhaps next time.
Regards, David Thomas in Sarnia Ontario Canada.
We have yet another sunny warm day( by our standards ) in February.
