Hello Jeff - can I ask some questions about the message that you sent below?
I was wondering what the "original documents" are? Was the material
transcribed or are you able to read the originals yourself? Why I am asking
is because of the very strange name of the surveyor of Penmark. How did
someone get the name of Evans Mouse? I am wondering if the name should be
actually "Evans, Morse"? I have not got back before a mason named Thomas
Evans in Aberthaw, but his decendants quite frequently used the middle name
of "Morse" giving a few instances of "Morse-Evans" confusion. Just
what
would the surveyor have done?
C.

Hello Listers
I thought a few names of landholders in the Manors of Lancadle and Penmark
during the early years of the 17th Century might be of interest. Though
many are the ubiquitous Welsh names a few are less common. All spellings
are of the original documents.
