Re the Hendreforgan School - I have put the list of the children at the
school and the streets in which they lived in Gilfach onto a separate
e-mail for Huw, but if anyone else would be interested, just ask and I will
post it to the list.
Meantime....
My dad Harold PRICE and his great friend Frankie DAY (of Hill St) joined
the Army in May 1930. Would there have been a recruitment drive in Gilfach
Goch or would they have gone off for the day to Cardiff ? They joined the
Royal Horse Artillery, Frankie was later a prisoner on the Burma Railway
and never recovered fully.
Does this ring any bells with anyone?
