Pity I missed the party though.
Never mind Michael - there's still a drop in this bottle - pass me your
glass. ;-))
Welcome to our list, you will find that cheerful and happy as we have been
with this party, we can actually be serious and we try to help people too.
So first of all, although you have done some research, you haven't got quite
enough - or you haven't given us all the facts. Have you had a search or
done one of the 1881 census? Here are your James Baskerville with Jemima.
The Hartlands do not live too far away either. You will note that the
parents are knocking on in age, so my guess is that there are elder children
of this union, who have left home. I have looked for other Baskervilles, but
some time needs to be spent sorting them out and I suggest that you visit
your local library shortly and look at the 1881 census and work the family
out. Preferably you need to look at the CDRom version of this.
Abia is a very uncommon, if not strange, name. My suggestion is this - that
the second family that I am sending you, where Annie Baskerville is a
servant, already having Annie as a wife, did not want a servant with the
same name and so one was made from her A for Annie and Ba from Baskerville
and with a vowel to make it work - I think she got herself a name. Crazy
this may seem but that I think is what happened.
