I'm afraid this is not a response to any of the specific questions you asked, but lest
you fall into the obvious trap, you might wish to know that Pentyrch (note spelling)
station was not in either the village or parish of Pentyrch. It was in Morganstown in the
parish of Radyr.
You might also like to know that although the station was operational only until 1863,
when it was replaced by Walnut Tee Junction, a little further to the north, the Station
building still stands as a private house alongside the railway line [sorry - that's
stating the obvious isn't it!]. There is a photograph of it, taken in the 1880s in
Cardiff Yesterday Vol 35. While this is too late for any of the people in the picture to
be yours, I can scan it to you if you wish.
