Hi Eliz.
The Aaron in Swansea is a different Aaron, The Marriage occurred in the Pontypridd Registration District in the Parish Church of LLantrisant as per the Copy of the Marriage Certificate supplied by the Pontypridd Registry Office but for me there are 2 similar names on the page of the GRO out of 5? And they are Mary VINEAPPLE and Mary VENABLE, I am wondering if there is an error somewhere.ie a double entry in the church records but would that not show two Aaron REES entries on the GRO?
This marriage was Aaron REES second marriage and his details are correct, I can follow him up to the 1881 census and suspect he then went to America in 1883? I have found a possible entry for a Mary REES and his child from his first marriage Sarah Jane REES on a passenger list in 1883, He also had 2 brothers in Roslyn, Kittitas, Washington, USA.

Dear List.
Does anybody have access to the records of the above church, I have today
received a copy of a Marriage which occurred in this church on the 21 Aug
1882, The Marriage was between Aaron REES and his bride ( Is it VENABLE or
VINEAPPLE).
The Marriage Certificate lists her name but after searching the GRO index
from 1840 to 1900 there is only 1 occurrence of this name and that is this
Marriage, There is no mention at all of this surname on the 1881 or 1891
census either.
I suspect that there is an error because the GRO index lists 5 names on this
page.
Can anybody confirm Aaron's bride.

James 1872
Im only assuming the children were born in Glamorgan because the parents
were married in Glamorgan in 1857.
Would someone be able to look for baptism/christenings for these children
please.
Cheers

I'm searching for anyone who knows this family.
A birth certificate for James George born 20 May 1873
says she is his mother. The fathers is listed as
James Harris (shipwright).
The registration district is Swansea - sub district Llangafelach.
I am trying to prove wether this is my grandfather who is
reputed to have run away to Brecon and changed his name.
