does anyone know if data from the so-called "Innviertel" is included in
Heider Indexes ?
OBERÖSTERREICH (the province of Upper-Austria)
Upper Austria can boast of a real treasure, the HEIDER INDEXES; these
compiled by a Mr. Heider over a period of 25 years and contain all the
births, marriages and deaths of Upper-Austria north of the Danube and
"Salzkammergut", between the start of recording up to about 1784 (in a
cases even till a later date); these neatly typewritten lists have been
supplied to almost all parishes and are a boon to researchers; however
other parts of Upper-Austria indexes are to be found only rarely. The
Heider-Indexes are microfilmed by LDS.
A portion of present day Upper-Austria, the "Innviertel" (the quarter
contained within the river Inn), was ceded to Austria in 1771,
