Thank you to both Pam & Frank for ideas on how to deal with ordering
familysearch films. I will probably purchase a gift credit card & use it
at the family history center when I get up that way. This is a do-able
solution to my probably somewhat unique situation, & I look forward to
trying it out. Thanks again.

One workaround for this is to purchase a gift credit card in a small
amount (or use a reloadable card with just enough to cover your
microfilm costs) and use that in ordering. That way you're not putting
your main credit card or bank account at risk.
