I am very sad to hear of Karen's death. I was lucky enough to meet her as
we lived only 70 miles apart. She had invited me into her lovely home
(complete with a view of Pike's Peak!) to try and help me with my own GB
research and I was in awe of her depth of knowledge.
In talking about our common Minnesota ancestry (Fairfax) and from a
newspaper obit we had learned that her Grandfather had been a pallbearer at my
Great-Grandfather's funeral about 100 years ago.
I checked the e-edition of the Colorado Springs Gazette (_www.Gazette.com_
) ) for an obit but don't see one this
morning---maybe there will be one in it tomorrow.
Rest in peace, Karen--you will be missed!
