Some URLs that may have helpful research links and publications Working
papers are usually available on line. Other publications are available
through
libraries at various US colleges and Universities and are perhaps open to
all on line visitors to their library systems. If any one of the libraries
listed for your state at the institutional webpage is close to you, go there an
get a library card and ask about accessing the data and publications on line
from any of the institutions listed below.
All of these websites are for scholarly research, not for genealogy. But
the history, culture and tradition that these scholars study is always worth
knowing as a background for genealogical research.
Academic websites like those below often require a bit of navigation. If
their publications are your focus, just click on publications on the links on
the left of a home page. Also look for :"working papers". I found one
of the websites with working papers that are available right there in PDF
format.-- just save them to your hard disk to read later or read them on line.
