Hello List Members,
I just joined and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Anna and
my father is a Danube Swabian, born in Busiasch, Romania in 1940 - his
family fled after the war and eventually ended up in the U.S. In the
course of researching my father's ancestry, I have discovered that he
apparently had some German Bohemian ancestors as well. I am at something
of a loss as to how to proceed in researching this branch, however, and I'm
hoping for some pointers. Here's what I have:
Georg Bornschlägel, *1816 in Kohlkirchenoo Margaretha Roland, *1816 in
Nepomuk/Westböhmen (married 8 October 1838 in Bakowa)
Their daughter Maria, from whom I'm descended, and all other children were
born in Busiasch, where the family seems to have settled.
I am trying to figure out:1. How to proceed from here, and2. Where are
Kohlkirchen and Nepomuk?
If anybody can point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.
