Anna,
I have a "LILL" on my line. The only info I have is:
Johanna LILL, b. 1 Feb 1802 @ Bernau; daughter of Franz LILL and M.
Anna PILZ. The parents of were Johann Georg LILL and Margarethe.
This is a 7th generation for me and I have not done further research
on this line. In my notes, taken from microfilm of the "Gazetteer of
the Austrian Empire, Based on 1880 Census (Vol 9) Boehmen" I have
Bernau ("Dorf with 35 houses; 195 residents) as part of Pruenles,
part of Falkenau Kreis (not sure if this was at the time a part of
Eger or Ellbogen...from memory, I believe it may have changed @ some
time in history). At any rate, the records are in the Pilsen Archive.
My LILL is associated with my GOETZ line: Johnna LILL married Anton
GOETZ (b. 11 Apr 1799 @ "Hoofen" (never found this; think it was
misspelled in the record) # 18. They married @ Bernau # 16 on 18 Nov
1823
Good luck in your search!

To Anna:
You mean a farming village rather than a mountain village? You have
to ask your grandma if she came from the Egerland or the Erzgebirge.
If it was from the Erzgebirge, then the Neuhaus (Chaloupky) she came
from was near Hochofen/Neuhammer, (that is where they skied at the
Hofberg.) Remember those names and ask her. If the names in the
Erzgebirge are not familiar to her, then there is another Neuhaus
near Schirnitz in the district of Eger, and they call that one
"Zirnice" now, which would be a village in the flatland along the
Eger. I don't know which one she came from. There is a third near
Kaaden and several others not in the vicinity of Carlsbad. The one
near Schirnitz would be more a farm village but is further away from
Carlsbad than the one near Hochofen/Neuhammer in the mountains. Each
of these villages have their own administrative "Heimatstuben" in
Germany, where volunteers are keeping old records, village plans and
the names of the people expelled, house names of families who lived
there for many hundreds of years. They also collect things people
brought with them from German Bohemia to Germany. I will find contacts
for you as soon as we can identify the exact place where she came
from.
If it she came from Neuhaus near Schirnitz (now Zirnice) in the
district of Eger, I will have to make another search for you. Did
your grandmother come to the States after the expulsion from her
Bohemian homeland, or was she born here to immigrants from German
Bohemia? Ask her, if she came from the Erzgebirge or from the
Egerland or the Saazer Land. That will then identify the correct
Neuhaus you are looking for.
We will get to the bottom of this, eventually.
