I saw your posting in Czeching Out Our Ancestors, searching for Duchatsch
and other surnames.
I am searching for Niklitschek and Klar from Giesshuebel (Olesnice v
Orlických horách), Wanitschek and Hillmann from Eipel (Upice) and Trautenau
(Trutnov), east bohemia.
If you go to "Historie obce Olesnice v Orlických horách in
you will find a short history (in czech) of the village (and other
villages, also, in the related pages), where it is stated that "....up to
half of the 17th century Olesnice was slav, which is confirmed by the
oldest writings from 1542 to 1598 conserved in the State Archiv in Zamrsk,
where there are only czech names....At the end of the 17th and beginning of
the 18th centuries, the flow of german settlers increased...and appeared
names as Seidl, Jäger, Stonjek, Klar, DUCHATSCH, Laschtowicz,
Giesshuebel/Olesnice v OH is in the Adlergebirge, very close to the Polish
(Silesian) border, and probably had a fluent interchange with silesians.
Archives are in Zamrsk.
Hope it helps.
