Antos, if it is a surname, is derived from Antonin (in Czech)
(Anthony in English, Anton in German, etc). Antos is also a diminutive
of Antonin. Thus, it can be a first name and a surname.
RE: family history information
You need to contact the archives in Czech Republic.
RE: Naturalization papers
Contact the INS...they will help you (if naturalized after ca.
September 1906).
Or, contact the courts in the areas where your ancestors resided.
RE: Immigration record
The INS has indexes of alien arrivals which are available at the US
National Archives. The Family History Library has a copies. [It is not
essential that you know the date or port of arrival, but knowing often
helps the research.]
