Welcome Message
PLEASE SAVE THIS INFORMATION so you have it in the future to refer to if you need it. It contains some useful information to help you use and enjoy the list more fully. I am the List Admin, and you will find my contact information at the very bottom of this message or the bottom of all list posts. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE of your fellow list members. Remember that some folks are beginners at using computers, some new to genealogy, others new at using the English language. PLEASE do not be impatient with simple questions, or expressions which are difficult to understand. We're all here to help each other so personal attacks, criticism, or flaming are never permitted on or off this list in any way. OFF TOPIC MESSAGES ARE ALSO NOT PERMITTED on the list. This includes any discussion whatsoever of viruses, virus warnings, malware, or anything else of that nature. It also includes a "roll call" on the list, unless specifically authorized by the Admin. If you have a matter of an administrative nature of any kind that you feel needs attention, please bring it to my attention privately OFF LIST and let me handle it as the List Admin. Please do not try to handle such matters yourself. You can contact me at any time at the email address below if you have any questions about this, or need to contact me at any time. WHEN POSTING A NEW MESSAGE to the list, please select an informative but concise subject line. When replying to a previous message, whether you intend your reply to go privately or to the list be sure to check that the intended recipient's address is showing in the Send To box of your email BEFORE clicking on SEND. Replies containing any genealogical information should be directed to the list, because others may benefit from your reply as well as the intended recipient. Thank you messages and other purely personal notes should be sent privately to the individual only. IMPORTANT: All messages posted to the list are permanently archived at RootsWeb and cannot be edited. Please consider this carefully before posting your message or reply on the list. This means among other things that posting personal information, or any information about living people is not allowed. As always, please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or comments about any of this or any other list problem, and you will always receive a reply.
